TODAY’S PASSAGES

Numbers 23:19 ESV… God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Romans 8:1 ESV… There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

GOD IS THE PERFECT PROMISE KEEPER

1. The Bible is full of people breaking their promises… Genesis 29:18-25

2. Thankfully our God is the Perfect Promise Keeper…Numbers 23:29

GOD’S PROMISE TO SEND A KING LIKE NO OTHER

1. God promised to put a descendant of David on the throne forever… 2 Samuel 7:12-13; Psalm 89-34; 132:11

2. God even told us where this coming “ruler” would be born… Micah 5:2; Luke 2:4-6

3. We are also told this “ruler” would be from ancient times, long ago… Micah 5:2

4. God often fulfills his promises in unexpected ways… Malachi 4:5-6; Matthew 3:4; 11:13-14

IN CHRIST THE KING ALL THE OF GOD PROMISES FIND THEIR FULFILLMENT

1. All the promises of God are “YES” in Christ… 2 Corinthians 1:20

2. God’s promises to Abraham to be a blessing to all nations… Genesis 12:3; Galatians 3:8-9

3. God’s promise to Abraham’s seed… Genesis 3:7; Galatians 3:16

4. God’s promise to crush Satan… Genesis 3:15; Hebrews 2:14-15

ARE YOU DOUBTING THE PROMISES OF GOD?

1. God’s promise to provide… Matthew 6:31-33

2. God’s promise to work all things for your good… Romans 8:28

3. God’s promise to forgive… Psalm 103:12
