Romans 12:1-2

12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Main Ideas: Sacrifice is not killing animals, it’s dying to self through

  • Self-Denial: Do not be conformed to this world

  • Self-Discipline: Transformed by the renewal of your mind

  • Self-Indulgence: What is good and acceptable and perfect

Main Idea #1: Sacrifice is Self-Denial – Do not be conformed to this world.

Main Idea #2: Sacrifice is Self-Discipline – Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.

Main Idea #3: Sacrifice is New-Self Indulgence – Indulge in the things of God not your worldly desires!
